The RS we drove includes the optional captain’s chairs in the second row, bringing the total seating capacity to seven. As standard equipment, a bench for the second row is offered. Our favorite color combo was also Jet Black/Spice Red. Passengers who want electricity for an electronic device will welcome the number of power outlets and USB ports located throughout the cabin.
Engine
Although the 3.6-liter V6’s competitive 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque are not the most advanced in its class, they are dependable. As is the case with the majority of naturally aspirated engines, this engine operates with a smooth and linear power delivery. As a consequence, the Traverse is a delight to drive both in town and on the highway, where it gladly cruises at the legal maximum speed.
The engine V6 is driven by a nine-speed automated transmission. We found the gearbox to be smooth and quick enough for a midsize crossover. We cannot make this guarantee for every new car, even those that cost much more.
2024 Chevy Equinox Release Date and Price
The 2024 Chevy Equinox LS has a starting MSRP of $33,700. The LT Cloth is priced at $36,200; the LT Leather is priced at $39,900; and the RS is priced at $44,200. The Premier is priced at $46,600, while the Chevy Equinox in the High Country is priced at well over $50,000. These prices do not include the $1,195 US destination fee or any other fees or surcharges. Upgrades from FWD to AWD are available for an additional $2,000 on the base model and in equal amounts on all other trim levels.
