The LT1 and its SS-badged variants feature a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated motor with 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque, linked to the same gearbox options as its six-cylinder predecessor. That’s the engine we prefer, especially with a manual transmission, since it fits the spirit of the Camaro so much better than the smaller engines do, but it doesn’t give you too much power to deal with.
2024 Chevy Camaro Release Date and Price
The Chevrolet Camaro’s price tag is competitive enough to displace sales of competitors. This is one of the areas in which it has a significant advantage. To begin with, the manual transmission 1LS is priced at $25,000; with the automatic gearbox, the price rises to $26,495. The cheapest version of the 1LT is the 2.0-liter turbocharged manual gearbox model. With the V6 and ten-speed automatic transmission, the base price jumps to $28,690. It costs between $27,500 and $30,690 to buy a 2LT Camaro from Chevrolet. Depending on the setup, the 3LT may cost between $31,500 and $34,690.
