Chevy Colorado 2024 Redesign, Price, Models – The 2024 Chevrolet Colorado has been a member of this group for more than a decade. It offers an excellent towing capacity for the midsize class without investing time or money on add-ons. It isn’t easy to top the Chevy at a reasonable price if you’re looking for flair and quality. The standard engine produces 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque, but consumers prefer the V6 or turbodiesel four-cylinder alternatives.
2024 Chevy Colorado Redesign
Apart from the new package, Chevrolet is not changing the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado model. The dealer-installed Trail Boss package includes the red tow hooks and a one-inch suspension leveling kit, including black 17-inch ZR2 wheels, black exterior badging, and mid-vehicle skid plates. The large central bar is home to a Chevrolet golden bowtie that adorns the front fascia, lending it a robust and assertive appearance.
The ridged black grille is divided in half by the bar that runs between the big, blocky headlights and the daytime running lights. On the WT and LT, halogen units are used; projector beams are used on the Z71 and ZR2. Fog lights are also included on models Z71 and higher. The ZR2 receives a black bowtie and a more prominent grille in place of the Z71, which already has a black bowtie. The WT rides on 17-inch silver-painted steel wheels, while the LT rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.
Interior
Thanks to a simple but sturdy design and a generous amount of hard plastic, the interior is equally as robust as the exterior. The cab’s size dictates cabin space, and higher trim levels offer more options. Similarly, the quality of construction and the materials utilized have improved. With its unfussy, practical design, it’s natural that the controls are placed in this manner. Although the higher-end models include leather seats, the vehicle is beginning to show its age.
Only four passengers can sit in the Extended Cab’s back seat, and getting in and out is difficult due to the two narrow rear-hinged doors. Legroom is also significantly restricted. The Crew Cab is the best option if you frequently need to carry large groups of people, as it is easier to enter and exit and provides sufficient legroom for adults.
Engine
The standard engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder producing 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque using a six-speed automatic transmission. With the obsolete and uninteresting components, there is enough power to get the truck around town or to perform some light-duty tasks. Additionally, a 2.8-liter Duramax Turbo Diesel engine is available on all models except the base model. While the six-speed automatic transmission remains unchanged, the new model boasts significantly increased torque: 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. While the Chevy’s engine is not quick or responsive, it is capable of a great deal of work due to its motor.
Indeed, this front-wheel drivetrain configuration is capable of towing up to 7,700 pounds. Alternatively, all models are available with a 3.6-liter V6 engine if you don’t mind sacrificing a little performance. When combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission, it produces 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. As a result, the towing capacity is reduced, but it has a lot more power for faster acceleration and better overall agility.
2024 Chevy Colorado Release Date and Price
The Chevrolet Colorado is available at a variety of price points. Typically, the extended cab with the long box and the base 2.5-liter engine are the least expensive alternatives. The WT is $25,200, while the LT adds $2,500. When equipped with four-wheel drive, both the Z71 and ZR2 are only available in extended cab configuration, which adds $36,500 or $42,600 to the price. Except for the standard price of $34,800 for the Z71 2WD, the Crew Cab/Short Box combo is slightly more expensive. The cost of upgrading to a V6 engine is $1,485 extra on the WT or LT. The 2WD LT starts at $6,915; the 4WD Z71 starts at $4,595; and the ZR2 starts at $3,720. The base WT now costs $3,515 more than before, while the LT costs $3,215 more.
