Engine

In addition, the 6.2-liter V8 engine produces 420 horsepower and the same amount of torque as the diesel engine. On both V8 engines, the cylinder deactivation technology is meant to boost efficiency.
While the base V8 engine does a fair job of propelling the new Tahoe about town, it has a lethargic demeanor that promotes a leisurely driving style over a full-throttle sprint from point to point. In our tests, this engine proved to be extremely sluggish. Therefore, if you can afford it, we advise you to replace the engines. To make passing simpler, we recommend the 6.2-liter V8 engine, but the diesel engine is an exciting alternative for people who wish to save money on petrol.
2024 Chevy Tahoe Release Date and Price
The MSRP for the basic 2WD LS variant of the 2024 Chevy Tahoe in the United States is $49,000. Following closely behind are the LT ($53,800), RST ($57,100), 4×4-only Z71 ($59,200), and Premier ($62,800). The High Country is the most costly car in the lineup at $68,100 (with the diesel engine). These prices include the $1,295 destination freight charge and reflect the least expensive trims for each model.
