2025 Chevy Trax Review: A Compact SUV with Style and Space – The updated small SUV Chevy Trax came out for the first time in 2024 and is now in its second model year, 2025. The new Trax has a roomy and comfortable cabin, a sleek and modern exterior, and a turbocharged engine with good gas mileage and speed. The Trax also has features that help the driver, like forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, and lane keep assist. The Trax doesn’t get any major updates for 2025; the only small changes are to the color choices and trim levels.
Design: Exterior and Interior
The outside of the 2025 Chevy Trax looks bold and stylish thanks to styling cues from the bigger Blazer and the smaller Trailblazer. The Trax has a powerful look thanks to its big grille, sleek headlights, and curved body lines. The Trax comes in seven colors: Summit White, Cherry Red Tintcoat, Mosaic Black Metallic, Silver Ice Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic, Stone Grey Metallic, and Iridescent Pearl Tricoat. There are also five trim versions for the Trax: L, LS, LT, 2RS, and ACTIV. Different wheels, skid plates, and black roof rails are some of the sports and tough features of the 2RS and ACTIV trims.
The 2025 Chevy Trax’s interior is made to be comfortable and useful for both drivers and guests. The materials used to build the house are of good quality and will last long. The Trax also has a lot of room for its size. Behind the back seats, you can fit up to 25.6 cubic feet of stuff; when those seats are folded down, you can fit up to 54.4 cubic feet. Additionally, the back seats can be folded in half, giving you more options for how to load things. The Trax has enough space and legroom in both rows to easily fit up to five people.
The Trax also has many features that make driving more enjoyable. These include a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker sound system, a rearview camera, a Wi-Fi hotspot, keyless entry and start, cruise control, power windows and locks, air conditioning, and more. A sunroof, heated front seats and steering wheel, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, back parking sensors, and more can be added. The screen is 11 inches, and the charging pad is wireless.
Powertrain
A 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine makes 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet torque for the 2025 Chevy Trax. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox that only powers the front wheels.
Getting an all-wheel drive or a more powerful engine in the Trax is impossible. Conversely, the Trax has a smooth, fast ride that works well in various road situations. It is also thought that the Trax will get 29 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
Release Date and Price
In early 2024, sellers should be able to sell the 2025 Chevy Trax. It hasn’t been officially priced yet, but the base L trim is expected to cost around $22,000, and the top-of-the-line ACTIV trim will cost around $25,000. Other small SUVs that compete with the Trax are the Honda HR-V, the Hyundai Kona, the Volkswagen Taos, the Kia Seltos, the Nissan Kicks, the Ford EcoSport, the Toyota C-HR, the Subaru Crosstrek, the Jeep Renegade, and the Buick Encore GX.
