2024 Chevy Equinox Redesign, Interior, Price – The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox was supposed to be released in 2021, but it was postponed owing to the pandemic. The revised Equinox now features the most up-to-date and significantly more sporty styling language, influenced by the compact Blazer crossover. The show and rear fascias have been updated, as have the split-level LED headlights with LED daytime running lights.
The inside gets trim-specific improvements, such as French stitching on the upholstery and a new high-gloss black finish on the console in the Premier. A redesigned grille design is also available, with color options (black or chrome accents) based on trim level. New 18-inch machine-faced wheels are also available on higher trim levels.
Redesign of the Chevy Equinox 2024
The Chevy Equinox will receive a new front and rear fascia for the 2024 model year. The SUV’s front fascia has been enhanced with new, thinner LED headlights. The grille has existed widened and given a more aggressive look starting with the front end. The new RS trim, with its gloss black grille, blacked-out badging, and dark 19-inch wheels, is unquestionably the sportiest of the group. The Premier trim also receives minor tweaks to maintain its dominance.
You may now choose LED headlights, gloss-black chrome, and logo protection on the motorized tailgate. These upgrades should keep the Equinox looking good for a long time. With the quad exhaust outlets, you get some spicy visual alternatives for 2024, making the design look sporty. The Equinox comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, although upgrades to 18 and 19 inches are available. The Equinox’s long wheelbase belies its spacious interior.
Interior
The cabin of the Equinox is made of durable materials and is beautifully fashioned, so it should demand a broad range of people. The spacious house should put both fronts- and rear-seat passengers at ease, with enough amenities to keep them happy on long journeys. The cabin has many cupholders, but most interior comforts are only available on higher trim levels as standard or optional equipment; the base Equinox L is a budget model with minimal extras. The Equinox’s cabin storage is average, except for a sizeable center-console storage bin. Although other competitors have ideal space behind the back seats, we placed eight of our carry-on bags back there.
The Chevrolet 3’s infotainment system offers a user-friendly design and menu layout. The 7-or 8-inch touchscreen display is positioned in the dashboard’s center. The Equinox comes equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 6-speaker stereo system comes standard, but a 7-speaker Bose audio system can be added for an additional fee. Audio and climate controls are also located in easy-to-reach locations.
Engine
However, the engines remain the same under the hood. The 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine produces 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine produces 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Both FWD and all-wheel drive will be available in the future.
In terms of performance, Equinox’s sluggish turbo-four engine accelerates to 60 mph in 8.4 seconds and the quarter-mile in 16.3 seconds. In comparison to its competitors, these are poor performance metrics. On the other hand, its braking performance is excellent. The pedal travel is perfect, and the brakes are reliable. The Equinox has a braking distance of 121 feet because of its low curb weight.
